Araz House

Elegantly set in Kemerburgaz, a town near the Northern forests of Istanbul, Araz House is an interior renovation project of a private family house for a young couple and their baby. The living space is entirely redesigned to respond to today’s conditions, and the new interior shell provides a sophisticated architectural approach. Consisting of four storeys, the upper levels of the house hold private spaces while the ground floor is the heart of the home. The first floor overlooks the living room below where everyday life flows. The kitchen where the inhabitants spend time most of all now blurs the lines between indoors and outdoors while creating a warm atmosphere. The serene colour palette and rich textures of carefully selected materials make the living space calm and welcoming.
